My Aunty Sylvia
It was never a dull moment with Aunty Sylvia. I was able to experience the second half of my childhood with her and that was filled with laughter, fun, excursions, vacations and great food. She never left anyone out, she had a great heart which my immediate family and I experienced first hand. When we migrated here to the US she did not hesitate to board us for a while until we got things together. Aunty Sylvia,Aunty Pamsy and my late father were conjoined at the hip like three musketeers on a daily basis; ask me where they went most of the time my response will be "I know they had fun". I looked forward for her fried dumplings on Saturday mornings in Sparta NJ;I make good fried dumplings but still trying to replicate hers. Numerous mall and outlet trips and vacationing in Virginia are past time favorites. 170th,Fordham Road,Third Ave and White Plains Road were the places Aunty Sylvia frequented on some of her days off. Sometimes Nadine, Keneil and my benefit was either patty with coco bread from 170th or gyros from Fordham. I miss her energy, smile, laughter and just her. I missed her saying SueQ a you dat. So many more memories I have too much to put on paper. RIP Love you
