A Letter to My New Daughter in Law

Before Kevin and I married, Lorraine wrote me a two page letter welcoming me into the family. The most important part of this letter was her sentence, "I will always respect the relationship you have with my son. If you ever need anything I will be there for you, supportive but not interfering." She lived up to that promise for 38 years.

She was a role model for her faith, children and grandchildren. She told many stories of her growing up, but the one she always told around election time is how she sat on her father's lap while he read the paper to her and he always took her to vote with him. She became a staunch Democrat and always joked about how she and Frank cancelled each others votes out!!

Rest in Peace with your heavenly family!! We will miss you!!
