Obituary for Marly DeAzevedo (Lustosa)

Marly DeAzevedo (Lustosa)
Marly Lustosa de Azevedo, passed away on October 12, 2017 in the comfort of her home in Coral Springs. She was 84-years-old. Marly was born on September 4, 1933 in Sao Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Marly was the first daughter of Dr. Jose Bohemer Lustosa Freire and Aida Vianna Lustosa and the eldest of their five children. Her mother passed away when she was only eleven, shortly after her father remarried and she gained two new siblings. Many years later, her father with his third wife, had four more children. The adult Marly welcomed all new siblings to her already large family.
Marly was blessed with a meaningful life. She was the wife of Joao Luiz de Azevedo since May 1957. Marly was a proud mother of Solange and Luiz Carlos. She worked as a computer typist for IBM and Roche Laboratory. Later Marly became a boutique owner in Rio de Janeiro, along with her sister, Maria de Lourdes, and her daughter, Solange. Truth be told, Marly was an artist, an artisan at heart. She enjoyed miniature building, jewelry making, porcelain and canvas painting, crochet, embroidery and cooking. Marly kept herself very busy making gifts that made friends feel good.
Marly had a unique soul -- generous, sweet and acted out of love. Marly loved learning new things. Well dressed, she liked to sing and dance. Marly, who was predeceased by her husband, Joao Luiz; left behind her two children, five grandchildren: Daniel, Laiza, Livia, Richie III and Reggie, and three greatgrandchildren, Richie IV, Kaitlyn and Lexy. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at the Coral Springs Funeral Home, on October 16, 2017.
