Obituary for William J "Bill" Harmon

William J "Bill"  Harmon
William Harmon age 63, of Coral Springs, FL entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 3rd, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Harmon, daughters Lauren Picart and Jaclyn Harmon and his grandchildren, Tyler and Ethan Picart. William is also survived by his three sisters, Dorothy Horsham, Maureen Clancy and Patricia Brady, as well as his mother Rita Harmon.
William John Harmon was born October 9th, 1953 to William and Rita Harmon and raised in Baldwin, NY. He graduated from Chaminade High School in NY and attended Marquette University. He started his career as an electrician in NYC as part of the IBEW Local Union #3 eventually launching his own business as a successful and respected Electrical Contractor, most recently with C.E.I LLC. In 1979 William married Gloria Yula in Glen Cove, NY and raised two daughters in Smithtown, NY.
Bill, as he was known to most, was a family man, a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. He was a trusted friend and a role model for many. Bill had a lust for life, a quick wit, and a great sense of humor that accompanied his infectious smile. While he loved baking homemade pies, he was also very active enjoying fitness, and was a decorated, avid golfer. Bill enjoyed spending time with his wife at their beach condo and making trips north to spend precious time with his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. People who knew him best will remember him most for his witty sense of humor, love for life, and being a perfectionist with everything. He will be greatly missed by all that were fortunate to know him.
