Obituary for Marc Dennis Brown

Marc Dennis  Brown
Marc D Brown 69 of Coral Springs, FL passed away June 27, 2017 from cancer and a long battle with multiple other illnesses. He was born in Columbus, Ohio April 12, 1948 to William S and Margaret Hagan Brown. He graduated from Port Clinton High School with the class of 1966 and enlisted in the US Marine Corps serving in Vietnam/ His awards and decorations include Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Combat “V”, Purple Hearts (2nd Award), Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Campaign Star, Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation with Palm, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Marine Corps Rifle Qualification Badge (Expert). Before retirement he was the Operations Manager for Santa’s Enchanted Forest in Miami, FL and Vice President of Operations for Santa’s World in Phoenix, AZ.

He lived in Port Clinton and Vermilion, Ohio before moving to Coral Springs, FL in 1984.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen Witt Brown; children – Lisa (Kevin) Marino of Margate FL, Shad (Jennifer) Brown of Colorado Springs, CO and Jae (Jacob) Land of Lowell, AR; grandchildren, Cody and Taylor Marino, Jordan, Jaelyn, Jake and Jagger Brown and Macall Land; his brother Robin (Karla) Brown, sisters Karen Miyamoto and Sherri Brown, sister-in-law Janet Brown; his aunt Sally Dinder and cousins Rick (Lisa) Poplstein and Bob Poplstein as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal and maternal grandparents, his brother David Brown and cousin Bill Roberts as well as aunts and uncles.

Arrangements are entrusted to Coral Springs Funeral home. There will be a graveside service and burial with military honors on July 6, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the South Florida National Cemetery Lake Worth, FL. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to any of the following veteran’s charities: Homes For Our Troops, USO or Fisher House Foundation.
