Obituary for Stephen Cooper

Stephen Cooper
Stephen M. Cooper, 64, of Margate, FL passed away on June 8, 2017 after a brief illness. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Stephen and Theresa Cooper, he was one of three children. Steve worked his earlier years with the N.Y.C. Transit Authority. Upon his move to Florida in 1995, he became a security guard to provide for his family. During his years in South Florida he worked for Presidential Place in Boca Raton, Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek, and Western Beef in Boca Raton. He also moonlighted with several other jobs to ensure that his daughter had all she dreamed of. In his spare time, Steve loved to attend classic car and gun shows. His passion for food was evident in his love of Chicken Parmesan from Guido's and Filet Mignon and baked potato from Big Bear Brewing Company. His sense of humor was unparalleled and he blessed everyone who passed him with his sensational smile.

Those who will cherish his memory the most are his beloved wife, Alice, of 32 years; their daughter, Amanda (Edward Genario); his sister, Linda (Charlie) Byrnes; and his niece and nephews, John Syvertson, Danielle and Michael Galietti, Nick and Darian Moshou. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Joyce Moshou; brothers-in-laws, Ron Georgia, Peter Moshou, and Thomas Moshou; and close friends, Andrea and Phil Giannetto, Kathleen McNulty-Smith, Rosemary Fraschilla; and Jimmy Stave. Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Georgia.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a service being held at 7:00 P.M.
