Obituary for Kareem Anthony Gage

Kareem Anthony Gage age 31, of Coral Springs died on April 9th, 2017, leaving parents Hugh and Laureen, siblings Karelle, twin brother Kirk, Kellee and Charisma. Aunts Yasmin, Ingrid and Donna. Uncles Garnett, Errol, Ian and Michael, cousins and other relatives.

Kareem was born a twin in Miami Florida, he grew up and lived his first 6 years in Jamaica. He returned to Florida and attended Hibiscus Elementary, Forest Glen Middle School and Coral Springs High, he then went on to further his studies at Atlantic Technical where he studied culinary arts.

In his earlier twenties, he was diagnosed Type 1 diabetic. He struggled with this illness for many years, saddened and depressed at times his family gave him the support, courage and strength he needed but Kareem's jovial, free spirited personality and positive demeanor made the challenge seem so easy. His favorite pastimes were playing basketball, video games, and collecting Air Jordan basketball sneakers. His bright smile and charismatic personality will be sadly missed.

A visitation for Kareem will be held at Coral Springs Funeral Home on Friday, April 21st 2017 from 4-8pm.
