Obituary for Margaret Navarro

Margaret Navarro

On March 7th, 2017, Midge, of Coral Springs, FL, passed away peacefully at the age of 62 after a tough battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband, Juan, as well as her aunt, Nora; sisters, Barbara and Joan; Her children, Shanna, Jocelyn, Scott and Son In-Law Justin; her grandchildren Megan and Zoe; Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. She was a terrific wife, loving mother, and best friend. She always opened her heart and her home to make those around her feel comfortable and loved, which is why so many other people look at her like a second mother.

Midge was born in Farmingdale, New York May 1st, 1954 to Charles and Kathleen Rouchet. She has always said that her biggest dream growing up was being a good mom and raising a family. After she met the love of her life, Juan, she set off to do just that. A few dances later, they were married October 2st, 1978 and moved down to Florida to raise their family consisting of Shanna, Jocelyn, and Scott.

Midge was known to be fun-loving, warm-hearted, strong-minded, and very outgoing and appreciated a good ambiance. She was the social director of the family and loved organizing activities for everyone to enjoy together. Her favorite things to do were to visit Disney (as often as possible), enjoy an ice-cold scotch by the pool while reading a good book and listening to music, tasting delectable dinner dishes, dancing with Juan (in their disco days), and shopping/running errands on the weekend. What she loved most of all was spending time with the people she cherished and loved most in this world: her family.

She had a “take-charge” attitude on life and achieved more that she ever imagined when she was young. She started off her career working in administration but evolved her skills by learning computer programs and web development entirely on her own self-teachings. Her strength and motivation eventually helped her to become the Marketing Director for her long-time employer, Fisher Auction Company, who became her extended family. This determination allowed her to help provide her family with unforgettable experiences.

Her love and memory will stay with us always.

Please join us in celebrating her life Saturday, March 11th 10am-12pm at Coral Springs Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please make a donation to the below institutions as they had a meaningful impact on her life. We love you all!
