Joseph  Bellusci
Joseph Vincent Bellusci of Parkland, Florida entered into rest on January 12th, 2017. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Lavinia Bellusci, his only Daughter Diane (Jerry) Scala, and his four grandchildren Nicholas Scala, Jack Scala, TJ Scala, and Luke Scala.

Joseph was born March 2nd, 1928 to Rose and Andrew Bellusci in Mt. Kisco, NY where his parents were the operators of Andy's, a restaurant well known in the town, for many years. He graduated from Peekskill Military Academy in Peekskill, NY and went on to play Professional Baseball for the New York Giants Triple A League. His career in Professional Baseball was cut short when he was drafted into the the U.S. Army in August 1950 where he served for 2 Years in Korea with the 40th Infantry Division, Nine months in combat..

Using his experience in the family restaurant Joe chose a career in the beer industry where he worked with the Schaefer Brewing Company and Strohs Brewing Co. He retired as State Manager after 40 Years. Joe was well known for his love of Sports. Whether he was playing baseball in his younger years or watching College Football in his later years he was always a fan. He played Golf, watched Notre Dame Football, and was ever seeking another good Game to watch.

Visiting Hours will be held at Coral Springs Funeral Home from 5-8:30pm on Monday January 16th 2017. A Wake service will be held at 7:00pm. On Tuesday a Mass will be held at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church at 12 noon. Mass will be followed by internment at South Florida National Cemetery with Military Honors to be performed.

In lieu of Flowers, Contributions may be made in Joe's memory to Shriners Children's Hospital or The Wounded Warrior Project.
