Obituary for
Irving Tutunick
Irving Tutunick, 78, of Tamarac, FL, passed away on January 5, 2017. He was born and raised in Detroit, MI, where he began his successful career as an architect. In 1970, Irv moved to South Florida with his wife Ellyn, and worked for several architecture firms before embarking on his second career as a Building Inspector with the Broward County School Board. Irv was an easy-going and family-oriented man. He found great joy in coaching his son's soccer teams and cherished the time he could spend with his family. He was always supportive of all his sons' endeavors, including Jewish education, art, music, sports, and other activities.
Irv is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ellyn; sons, Aaron (Vickie), Brian (Amy), Rick (Dana), and Steve (Laura); and 6 grandchildren, Rachael, Rebecca, Anna Sophia, Chloe, Jon and Peter.
A Celebration of Life Gathering and Shiva will be held at Aaron & Vickie's home on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 12pm to 3pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sarah Care of Coral Springs, 754 Riverside Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071, funds specifically designated for special activities for this wonderful adult day care program.
