Marshall Scott Glowka, a native Texan and resident of Coral Springs, Florida, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the age of 41. Born November 22, 1974 in San Antonio, Texas, he was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in San Antonio and the University of Texas at Austin, where earned his degree in Communications. He was founder and CEO of USB Custom Flash Drives based in Jupiter, Florida.

Marshall was an athlete throughout his life. As a young boy, he spent countless hours riding his skateboard. During high school, he played football, baseball and soccer. He enjoyed fishing with his brother, John, scuba diving with friends, and kiteboarding at his favorite beach, Kite Beach. He was a passionate Longhorn football fan, and loved attending games at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium with his college friends. He enjoyed discussing politics and current events, was a voracious reader of all literature, and was a movie buff that especially enjoyed discussing cinema with his mother, Joyce.

Marshall and his wife, Eileen, first met in middle school. After reconnecting many years later, they fell in love and were married on New Year’s Eve 2014 in Exuma, Bahamas. During their marriage, they enjoyed their regular coffee and dinner dates, visiting with friends, and rehabilitating injured animals. To his wife, family and friends, Marshall was idealistic, opinionated, and often outspoken. But, in all things, he was kind and caring. He loved unconditionally.

He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen O’Brien Glowka; beloved mother, Joyce Glowka of Houston, Texas; father, John G. Glowka of San Antonio, Texas; maternal grandmother, Opal “MiMi” Green of San Antonio, Texas; brother, John Glowka, and wife, Marya, and their children, Jonah, and Leila, of Jupiter, Florida. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Herbert J. Green, who he affectionately referred to as “Grump.”

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Church By The Glades, Evans Chapel. Family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Glowka family home in Coral Springs, Florida. Burial at sea, for immediate family, will be held at a later time.

Contributions in memory of Marshall Glowka may be made to the SPCA, the Coral Springs Fire Department, or The National Downs Syndrome Society.

Funeral arrangements under the direction of Coral Springs Funeral Home, Coral Springs, Florida.
